What is Sustainable Leadership?
Sustainable leadership should be long-term and build on quality regarding the results of the business, employees, sports and use of resources. It means that it is a leadership that can make companies, sport team and organizations grow and prosper both in the short term and long term. Investing on sustainability in their operations always creates unparalleled opportunities for development and growth. Sustainable leadership also means that you are running a business and leading a group in a way that makes both the leader and his or her group feel good and at the same time achieve the set goals.
Why do we need sustainable leadership?
In our global world that we live in today and that is constantly and rapidly changing, sustainability is a prerequisite for long-term success. A customer-oriented business development is required, due to demands for rapid adaptation and development of the organization with continuous improvements in order for the organization to ultimately survive the competition in the market. We also need sustainable leadership so that both managers and employees will not be stressed, sick and in the end and suffered from mental illness, which is the fastest growing illness in the world due to WHO and that it will be the biggest illness in the world year 2030, if we don’t to a lot of things to stop it.
Sustainability can be defined at several levels, such as economic, environmental, technical and social. Today we also talk about the fact that sustainability has become a competitive advantage. For an employer to be able to maintain its “Talent Management”, both the organization and the leadership must be driven by sustainability principles, which also support long-term business development and corporate social responsibility. Even sports need sustainable leadership, how do they work with it?
